week of june 12
this week we had the film festival and i thought it was pretty cool. the films were sort of repetitive due to me being there all day but i still thought they were all really good. the films from 5th period were very funny and were pretty good, overall a great experience.

week of may 1st
This week we finally figured out if what our next movie is going to be about. its gonna be a movie on a guy who does parkour for a living. its gonna be funny because the park our in the movie is going to suck. were gonna start the movie with some real parkour footage so the audience can tell the difference of the real parkour and the fake one that we will be presenting them with. we started to work on the actual script itself and were almost finished once we finish with that then we will start to film after school.

week of April 3rd
For this week in this class we began to work on the actual recording of the psa we are filming. we started with the storyboards that i had drawn, even though we had made some changes when we actually started to film the story boards were very useful. we began to film on wednesday during third period and actually were able to get all the shots we needed in the matter of 40 min. it was helpful that the shots were short and that no one messed around. we began to edit on thursday and are almost finished.

what music means to me
when i was younger my sister use to play a lot of the beatles, i remember signing songs such as help, yellow submarine, and let it be. When i was in the third grade i got my first ipod, it was those small square ones the ipod nano and it was green. the main reason i got it was just to say i had one and so i could play around with it, i wasnt too into music so i didnt have any intill my brother put his music into it. at first i would just listen to AC/DC and Led Zeppelin because those were the only bands i liked at that time, but then by accident i heard the strokes once and i was hooked. i loved all of there songs and i thought they were very cool, the strokes lead to me liking the arctic monkeys around the same time. next thing i knew i loved those two bands. im very very picky with music and i dont like a lot of bands, when i came into high school i had found new bands as well such as the black keys, but my music taste all changed in 10th grade. i had heard Still by dr dre on the computer by accident and after i heard that song i liked it alot, i thought it was very catchy so on pandora i put rap/hip hop radio. every since then i discovered new artist. i learned about Kanye West who to this day is my favorite artist now and i learned about other great rappers. to me music is a great way to escape reality and a great way to keep you thinking. music to me is a very important tool for learning and creating.

Problems
Theres a lot of problems that teenagers go threw now at days. To start it off school itself is very stressing a lot of kids have very difficult classes like ap english or apush where they get a lot of school work and homework. A lot of students are in sports aswell which is very stressful because you have to stay after school and you get home really tired. some students find it very difficult to jungle those two and a social life, many of them enjoy going out with their friends to go eat and hangout. On top of all that some students have jobs that they have to fit into their schedule. having a job is very stressful as well because its very tiring.

Most interesting person i know
The most interesting person i know would have to be between my mom and dad. My moms pretty interesting because where she works at but i feel as if my dad is a bit more interesting because he has some pretty interesting stories. When i was younger and i use to go to work with my dad, on the car ride there we would always talk and i remember being really interested into his stories becasue his life was just so different from mine. My dad grew up in Mexico where they had no television and school wasnt a priority, work was, and to me i couldnt believe it because here in the US its different. he would tell me how he had to leave school so he can start working in a farm at the age of 12 and i was around that age at the time and i couldnt imagine myself leaving school to work. I always thought it was crazy that he grew up with hardly any technology, while me i grew up with a tv, toys, gameboys, and ect. I always enjoy hearing my dads stories so i guess hes the most interesting guy i know.

what did you think about inconvenient truth
I thought it was a very good documentary. it was really cool how it was outlined and how it was made. i found it very interesting how the climate is changing so drastically in so little time. my brother had showed me a part of the movie once when i was younger but i didnt remember much of it i juste remember Al Gore talking about the earth getting hotter in the years, so as i grew older i knew i bit about global warming but not really much. when i saw the movie here i actually got the whole science part, and it was amazing how crazy everything is getting and how hot everything can get if we dont fix it.
what is your anti drug?
My anti drug is swimming. when i swim its very relaxing i enjoy to swim because when im swimming im in the water and theres not much noise going on. its relaxing because you dont hear people talking or have random noises going on, its just you and the water. its pretty cool because in the water you can do whatever you want you can go down into the water and let yourself sink and your free to do whatever you want such as hand stands and flips. you feel very light in the water and it feels good when its a little bit cold because it gives a chill to your whole body. when im swimming it gives me a lot of time to think, i can think about school, work, and any problems i might be having. its a great way to stretch your muscles out and its a pretty good workout too.
